That sounded to me like your basic master flutist over your basic pop setting. I enjoyed the vocal group–it was really a good blending. That’s something there’s not too much said about and it’s taken too much for granted, and the vocal solo was also very nice.
The flutist did a real cute number. It sounded to me like he overdubbed bass flute and added some funky rhythm underneath his regular flute. It was interesting though. This kind of a party record where you just sit down and talk over it. I think it serves the purpose for which it’s headed. I’d give it three stars. I was going to guess Hubert Laws…I really don’t have anything to say about the tune except that it was well performed.
